For long-time supporter, Markus, SSV Erkrath is a family tradition. “I have been a fan of this club since I was a child, and now I bring my own children to the games,” he says with a smile. “It’s a special bond that we have, and it’s something that we can share together.”
For others, like Johanna, supporting SSV Erkrath is a way to connect with their community. “I moved to this town a few years ago and didn’t know anyone. But when I started attending the games, I met so many wonderful people who share the same passion for this team,” she says. “Now, I have made some great friends and feel like I belong here.”

The club has a dedicated group of international fans who follow the team from afar. “I may live thousands of miles away, but my heart is always with SSV Erkrath,” says Maria, who is originally from Brazil. “I have been a fan for many years, and I try to watch every game online. SSV Erkrath’s fans are also known for their unwavering support, no matter the circumstances. “I remember one game where it was pouring rain, and the team was losing. But the fans never stopped singing and cheering, even though we were soaking wet,” recalls Thomas, a die-hard supporter. “That’s the kind of dedication and passion that makes me proud to be a part of this club.”
As SSV Erkrath continues to grow and achieve success on the field, the fans remain a constant source of motivation and inspiration for the team. “Our supporters are like a 12th player on the field. They give us the extra push we need to keep fighting and never give up,” says team captain, Max. “Their support means everything to us.”
